ABOUT JULIE

Julie’s passion for design was evident at a young age as she was constantly rearranging her parent’s furniture. She followed her passion throughout college where she discovered her love for architectural history and graduated with a Bachelor of Interior Design. Her professional career began in high-end residential design in both Chicago and St. Louis’ premier design firms where she gained experience in construction and architectural drafting. In 2006, Julie Abner Interiors was established and a lifelong dream began.

“My favorite part of being a designer is the opportunity to explore all design styles. My goal is to help homeowners achieve their own unique look versus pressing my own aesthetic or design personality. I customize each design project for the client…blending their traits, needs, and desires to generate something truly original that cannot be replicated,” says Julie.

From new construction to renovations to home furnishings, her creativity and attention to detail shines through in every project she embraces. She leads clients with ease through a labyrinth of decisions while collaborating with architects, home builders, and contractors ensuring all the details are carried through to completion. A continuous focus on the client’s personalized designs has enabled her to build her firm on referrals and lasting friendships with clients who return again and again.

Julie lives in St. Louis with her husband, Jonathan, and their son, Nathan, their cat Abby and dog Preston. In her spare time Julie loves to read, bake, and walk their dog around their neighborhood in South St. Louis City.
